Antigua and Barbuda is a Caribbean island nation consisting of two main islands and several smaller ones, known for its coral reefs, sandy beaches, and tropical climate in the eastern Caribbean Sea.

๐Ÿ“ Antigua and Barbuda is a small island nation located in the Caribbean Sea, within the Lesser Antilles island chain in the eastern Caribbean. It lies between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, forming part of the Leeward Islands group. The country is situated near Saint Kitts and Nevis to the west, Guadeloupe to the south, and Montserrat to the southwest.
Unlike many countries, Antigua and Barbuda has no land borders, as it consists of islands surrounded entirely by water. The nation is made up of two main islandsโ€”Antigua and Barbudaโ€”and several smaller islets. Its terrain is generally low-lying with some rolling hills, especially on Antigua, while Barbuda is flatter and more sparsely populated. The islands are known for their coral reefs, white-sand beaches, and tropical climate. Its location has historically made it an important point for maritime trade and cultural exchange in the Caribbean.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used globally in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the country's ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
