Turkmenistan is a country in Central Asia characterized by vast desert landscapes of the Karakum Desert, flat plains, and river valleys including the Amu Darya.

📍 Turkmenistan is a country located in Central Asia, positioned between the Caspian Sea and inland Asian regions. It is bordered by Kazakhstan to the northwest, Uzbekistan to the north and east, Afghanistan to the southeast, and Iran to the south, with a coastline along the Caspian Sea to the west.
Turkmenistan’s landscape is dominated by desert, particularly the Karakum Desert, which covers much of the country. It also includes plains, some mountain regions in the south, and limited arable land. The Amu Darya River forms part of its northeastern border and is an important water source.
Turkmenistan’s location has historically made it part of the Silk Road, linking Central Asia with the Middle East and beyond, influencing trade and cultural exchange.
