Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia characterized by the towering Himalayan mountain range, deep river valleys, forested hills, and fertile plains in the south.

๐Ÿ“ Nepal is a landlocked country located in South Asia, situated in the central Himalayas between two major Asian nations. It is bordered by China (Tibet region) to the north and India to the south, east, and west.
Nepalโ€™s terrain is dominated by the Himalayan mountain range, including Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, along its northern border. The country features dramatic elevation changes, from lowland plains in the south (the Terai region) to high mountains and deep valleys in the north.
Nepalโ€™s location has historically made it a cultural and trade link between South Asia and Tibet, while its rugged terrain has shaped settlement patterns, transportation, and way of life.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used worldwide in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the countryโ€™s ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
