Guinea-Bissau is a country in West Africa characterized by low coastal plains, mangrove swamps along the Atlantic Ocean, and the Bijagรณs Archipelago of offshore islands.

๐Ÿ“ Guinea-Bissau is a country located in West Africa, along the Atlantic coast in the westernmost part of the continent. It is bordered by Senegal to the north and Guinea to the east and south, with a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean to the west.
Guinea-Bissauโ€™s terrain consists mainly of low-lying coastal plains, wetlands, and mangrove swamps, along with some inland savanna. The country includes the Bijagรณs Archipelago, a group of islands off the coast known for their biodiversity and unique ecosystems. Its coastal location and river systems have historically made it important for fishing, agriculture, and regional trade in West Africa.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used globally in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the country's ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
ISO-2 Code: GW
ISO-3 Code: GNB
