Vanuatu is an island country in the South Pacific Ocean consisting of a chain of volcanic islands, characterized by rugged mountains, tropical forests, and coral-fringed coastlines.

📍 Vanuatu is an island country located in Oceania, in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, east of Australia. It lies east of Australia, northeast of New Caledonia, west of Fiji, and south of Solomon Islands.
As an island nation, Vanuatu has no land borders and is surrounded entirely by the Pacific Ocean. It consists of about 80 islands arranged in a Y-shaped chain.
Vanuatu’s terrain is mountainous and volcanic, with active volcanoes, tropical rainforests, and coastal plains. The islands have a tropical climate and rich biodiversity.
Its location in the Pacific has historically made it part of regional navigation routes and cultural exchange among Melanesian societies.
