📍 Guyana is a country located in northern South America, along the Atlantic coast, and is part of the region known as the Guianas. It is bordered by Venezuela to the west, Brazil to the south and southwest, and Suriname to the east, with a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean to the north.
Guyana’s landscape includes coastal plains, tropical rainforests, savannas, and highlands in the interior. It is home to part of the Guiana Shield, one of the oldest geological formations in the world, as well as numerous rivers and waterfalls, including Kaieteur Falls. The country’s location has historically linked Caribbean and South American cultures, influencing its development, trade, and identity.
