Islands

Comoros is an island country in the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and the coast of East Africa, consisting of volcanic islands characterized by rugged terrain, tropical forests, and coastal plains.

📍 Comoros is an island country located in the Indian Ocean, off the southeastern coast of Africa, at the northern end of the Mozambique Channel. It lies between Mozambique to the west and Madagascar to the east, near Tanzania to the northwest.
As an island nation, Comoros has no land borders and is surrounded entirely by the Indian Ocean. The country consists of a group of volcanic islands, characterized by mountainous terrain, lush vegetation, and active or dormant volcanoes. Its tropical climate and fertile soils support agriculture and biodiversity. Comoros’ location along historic maritime routes has made it a point of cultural exchange between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
