Planning Area

Singapore is an island country and city-state in Southeast Asia characterized by low coastal plains, tropical rainforests, and a strategic location along major maritime routes near the Strait of Malacca.

📍 Singapore is a small island city-state located in Southeast Asia, at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. It lies just south of Malaysia and north of Indonesia, separated by narrow straits.
As an island nation, Singapore has no land borders and is surrounded by the Singapore Strait and the Strait of Johor. It consists of one main island and several smaller islets.
Singapore’s terrain is mostly low-lying with some gentle hills, and much of the land has been modified through urban development and land reclamation. Its strategic location along one of the world’s busiest shipping routes—the Strait of Malacca—has made it a major global hub for trade, finance, and transportation.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used worldwide in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the country’s ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
