Rwanda is a landlocked country in East Africa characterized by rolling hills, highland plateaus, volcanic mountains in the north, and numerous lakes and river valleys.

๐Ÿ“ Rwanda is a landlocked country located in East Africa, situated in the Great Lakes region near the equator. It is bordered by Uganda to the north, Tanzania to the east, Burundi to the south, and Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west.
Rwandaโ€™s terrain is predominantly mountainous and hilly, earning it the nickname โ€œLand of a Thousand Hills.โ€ The country features highlands, valleys, and lakes, including Lake Kivu along its western border. Its elevation gives it a relatively mild climate despite its equatorial location.
Rwandaโ€™s position in the Great Lakes region has influenced its agriculture, settlement patterns, and cultural connections with neighboring countries.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used worldwide in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the countryโ€™s ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
ISO-2 Code: RW
ISO-3 Code: RWA
ISO Numeric Code: 646
