It is bordered by Djibouti to the northwest, Ethiopia to the west, and Kenya to the southwest, with coastlines along the Gulf of Aden to the north and the Indian Ocean to the east and south.
Somaliaโs terrain includes arid plains, plateaus, and some highlands in the north, with a generally dry climate. The countryโs long coastline has historically made it an important center for maritime trade and cultural exchange between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Somaliaโs strategic position near major sea routes, including those leading to the Red Sea and the Suez Canal, has contributed to its historical and geopolitical importance.

The Federal Republic of Somalia does not have an officially designated national motto, according to Wikipedia. While some sources historically mentioned "Long Live Somalia" in the 1960s, the modern state, particularly under the 2012 constitution, functions without a specific, officially adopted, or widely recognized national motto.
