Suriname is a country on the northeastern coast of South America characterized by dense tropical rainforests, river systems, and a narrow coastal plain along the Atlantic Ocean.

๐Ÿ“ Suriname is a country located in northeastern South America, along the Atlantic coast in the region known as the Guianas. It is bordered by Guyana to the west, French Guiana to the east, and Brazil to the south, with a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean to the north.
Surinameโ€™s landscape is dominated by tropical rainforest, covering most of the interior, along with rivers, wetlands, and a narrow coastal plain where most of the population lives. The country has a warm, humid climate typical of equatorial regions.
Surinameโ€™s location has historically connected Caribbean and South American cultures, influencing its development, trade, and cultural diversity.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used worldwide in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the countryโ€™s ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
