Nunavut is a territory of Canada characterized by vast Arctic tundra, numerous islands, glaciers, and rugged coastlines along the Arctic Ocean and Hudson Bay.

Nunavut Location:

Nunavut is the largest and northernmost territory of Canada, created in 1999 from the eastern portion of the Northwest Territories. It spans much of the Canadian Arctic, bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, Manitoba and Ontario to the south, and Quebec to the southeast. Nunavut includes vast tundra landscapes and numerous Arctic islands, such as Baffin Island, the largest island in Canada. It is known for its Inuit culture, remote communities, and extreme northern climate. Its capital and largest community is Iqaluit. Nunavut is divided into regions and communities rather than counties or municipalities, with small, widely dispersed settlements across its expansive territory.
